Mark Wang • Vadim Polonichko • Michelle Blevins • Daniel Broaddus •Drew Smith Mark Wang Mr. Wang is a patent agent with the firm of Gazdzinski & Associates. He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, CA. Mr. Wang has more than 7 years of industry experience developing complete chipset solutions for the telecommunications field. Prior to joining the firm of Gazdzinski & Associates, Mr. Wang was a senior engineer at Texas Instruments. Mr. Wang began his career in board hardware, and then transitioned to rapid FPGA prototyping. He has a long history of developing digital baseband chips for wireless phone standards including GSM, GPRS, EDGE, CDMA2000, and UMTS. In addition to his broad background in wireless, he has also developed many related peripherals necessary for cellular phone construction. Mr. Wang’s additional experience includes processor and ASIC design, hardware/software co-verification, power management, and board fabrication. Vadim Polonichko Vadim Polonichko is a consulting patent agent with Gazdzinski & Associates. He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and holds a Doctoral degree in Underwater Acoustics from University of Victoria, Canada. His undergraduate degree (BS/MS in Automation and Electronics) was completed at Moscow Institute of Technology and Physics, Russia. To augment his technical education, Dr. Polonichko has successfully completed Graduate Certificate in Technology Management from the Stevens Institute of Technology. Dr. Polonichko was employed at Teledyne Technologies Inc. as a Senior Systems Engineer, researching and developing new technologies for spread spectrum signal processing, ultrasonic imaging, and phased arrays. He advises senior management on technology-related IP matters. His interests include underwater acoustics, signal processing for wireless communications, sensor development, IMU, magnetic and MEMS sensor integration, and GPS augmented navigation. Prior to Teledyne, Dr. Polonichko was an Engineering Programs Manager with Assure Controls, managing development of water testing instrumentation, and was employed at Sontek/YS, Inc. for several years where he investigated new technologies and developed algorithms for acquisition, processing and presentation of ultrasonic Doppler flow sensor data. Dr. Polonichko was instrumental in receiving several external funding awards (STTR&SBIR). He has coauthored numerous papers, presented his work at professional conferences, and is the lead inventor on an issued U.S. patent. Michelle Blevins Ms. Blevins is a patent agent with the firm of Gazdzinski & Associates. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Computer Design from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. Ms. Blevins is currently attending the University of San Diego School of Law where she is a 2012 J.D. candidate. As an undergraduate, Ms. Blevins participated in a summer research program in reconfigurable computing at the University of Florida, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). She was also a member of the University of North Florida 2009 IEEE SoutheastCon Hardware Competition Team, winning 4th place overall in the autonomous robotics competition. The Hardware Competition Team was also awarded Best Overall Senior Design Project for the University of North Florida in 2009. Additionally, Ms. Blevins spent two years as an undergraduate software programming intern for CSX Transportation in Jacksonville, Florida. Prior to joining Gazdzinski & Associates, Ms. Blevins gained practical experience as an electrical engineer for Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) in San Diego, focusing on embedded system design, mobile computing platforms, and wireless communications systems research (including GSM, CDMA, WiMAX, LTE, LTE-Advanced). Ms. Blevins also worked with the SPAWAR Office of Patent Counsel, where she drafted patent applications, responses to USPTO Office Actions, and appeal briefs for various electrical and computer-related technologies, including computer software and RF antennas. Ms. Blevins is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and a student member of the San Diego County Bar Association. Daniel H. Broaddus Dr. Broaddus is a patent agent with Gazdzinski & Associates. He has expertise in a diverse array of technical fields, including electrical engineering, nanotechnology, and optical physics, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Drew Smith Mr. Smith is a patent agent with the firm Gazdzinski & Associates. He is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and has recently received his Juris Doctorate degree (JD) from the University of Montana School of Law. Mr. Smith also recently sat for the California Bar. Prior to law school, Mr. Smith attended Oregon State University, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. During his undergraduate education, he served as a research assistant on several on-going projects related to sensor development and signal processing for wireless communications.
