Service
and Ownership
Despite
any assertions to the contrary, intellectual property law is a service
industry. Poor service is a veritable slap in the face
in light of the comparatively high costs and fees borne by clients in
pursuit of intellectual property representation. Firms often treat their
clients as fungible commodities of no particular importance, in effect
reversing the service ethic. To our way of thinking, the hallmarks of
good service include ready accessibility, effective anticipation &
planning, and responsiveness to our client's particular needs. Our clients are our business, and we make every attempt to treat them accordingly.
Similarly,
we believe that to be truly effective, legal counsel must have great enthusiasm
for their work, and an ownership mentality which couples the
success of their clients to that of their own firm.
