A fundamental understanding of a client's invention or technology is essential to properly protecting it.  However, this technological understanding must also be melded with an appreciation for the client's business needs and operating environment. If improperly protected, even a ground-breaking technological innovation may provide the client with little or no economic benefit or leverage against competitors. Accordingly, our firm specializes in a comparatively narrow field of technology for which we recognize both the technological and business issues. We pointedly avoid disciplines which are outside our field of expertise, and target our research and training efforts on only those areas of relevance to our particular practice, while avoiding those which would otherwise diffuse our focus.
