Carrie DeCoro is a U.S. and International Patent Paralegal and Office Manager at the Firm. She performs a variety of tasks including domestic and international patent prosecution, client support, and office management and administration.Â Ms. DeCoro has more than 16 years of patent prosecution experience, and more than 11 years of civil litigation experience relating to various areas including construction defect, real estateÂ acquisitions and insurance defense. She is experienced in litigation support and docketing, discovery requests and responses, and filing of all USPTO and court papers, as well as corporate filings.
Ms. DeCoro has an Associate of Legal Science (Paralegal Studies), and is a certified paralegal.
Danielle Miyahara is an Intellectual Property Docketing Specialist with Gazdzinski & Associates. Prior to joining the Firm, Mrs. Miyahara was employed by Cardinal IP where she was responsible for maintaining docket entries for all U.S. and foreign patent prosecution. Danielle has also worked at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati (Palo Alto, CA location) for fourteen years managing the patent docketing department.
Mrs. Miyahara has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from San Jose State University.
Ms. McGaw is a litigation and prosecution paralegal with Gazdzinski & Associates and has over 15 years' experience in the legal field, including 15 years in complex civil litigation, including intellectual property litigation. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a litigation paralegal with DLA Piper LLC (US) where she worked alongside attorneys during all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial, and post-trial proceedings.
Ms. McGaw received her B.A. from SDSU and J.D. from the USD School of Law.
Rebecca Meerbergen is a U.S. and International Patent Paralegal at the Firm. Prior to Gazdzinski & Associates, Ms. Meerbergen was employed at the Catalyst Law Group of San Diego in the patent and trademark field. She has more than eighteen years’ experience in office administration and small business management, and five years’ experience in probate estate, residential and commercial appraising as a certified appraiser trainee. Work experience also includes bookkeeping support for small business owners, as well as management of an engineering library/blueprint room and associated database for an engineering firm.
She is also fluent in German and Dutch.
Cecilia G. Stone is a Billing and Administrative Specialist at the Firm. She manages time entries for attorneys and paralegals, client invoice preparation and processing including client billing portal management, accounts payable and receivable, collections and other administrative functions of the Firm.
She has more than 12 years of experience in office administration, including in the construction industry assisting with all aspects of project management including scheduling, estimating projects, ordering job site equipment and materials, billing projects at all stages, and permits.
